I'm planning on going turbo someday so this build will be able to handle a turbo someday down the road. Right now i'm figuring on mid 12s. with this sc
setup. New cam install, close to a xpz. 1.6 aluminum rrs with behive 105s springs clips and retainers. All new heavy duty upper and lower gaskets, head
machining work. , alky injection kit, 3.25, 3.1 and 2.9 mps hub and pulley, wiz air. ud pulley,180 stat, 3.0 ss dp gutted cat, ss plog, ceramic coated
crossover, ported rear mani, fuel pump upgrade, 42.5 injectors, wideband 02, electronic fuel pressure gauge, aeroforce, 2.2 afc, and a few other goodies and
most importantly a good dyno tune. Yep, I know a tranny is in the very near future. Todd

I would use 1.7 rockers with 130 springs instead...

X2 on the 1.7's and springs unless you are planning on changing them back out when you put the turbo in. I know most of the guys go with the large springs
for turbo applications.

Yeah. I kicked those around as well. Springs, no matter what you choose are a matter of debate.

Plus you have to use a double roller if you go the 130's not sure if you have that yet but just so you know you have to have it.
By the way the messge
just got sent to the forum that I am moving forward with the domain name registration. I am still debating the name tho.

Yeah. That was one of the reasons I didn't go with the 130s. What kinda sucks is I'll have about $700 in just my gauges and pod. aeroforce $230.
Wideband $250. electronic fuel pressure gauge $100. Pod $60 and a mechanical boost gauge $50.00 I know the aeroforce has a electrical boost/vacume gauge but I
wanted a mechanical tapped into the vacume line. One thing I learned about these cars is no matter how much modding one does, you better know how your car is
running by more then just feel. Right now I'm only running about 6lbs of boost with my stock 3.8 pulley. I was running almost 12lbs on my 2000gtp with a
3.25. The guy building my motor says we should be able to tune as small as a 3.0 with this setup and alky. so I bought a 3.25,3.1 and a 2.9. We shall
see...........Todd

I'm like all you guys when it comes to making our car faster. We all look at the price of things and how much it will cost in the end. I had somewhere
around $2500 in my first build on my 2000gtp. It ran low 13teens and I was happy with that. Now that I started over on a 04 I wanted to do things differently.
My first thoughts was a turbo that can run 11s. But after considering the new tranny involved and all the other things needed for that build I decided to try
to get the most out of both worlds. In order to get the most out of our SC. we need to change cams. So thats what I'm doing. But what I'm adding to
that is a build that will take the boost of a turbo 20+ lbs on a regular basis. and also the low end grunt of a sc. Now what I am lacking is a tranny that will
hold this all together. I will add a race tranny when this one craps out. I don't plan on running drs or slicks but I do plan on running in the 12s with
this setup. Then if the tranny does go later on down the road it will be a bolt on turbo kit with a new zzp tranny and then I will be running in the 11s.

Especially in the off season! I think his trans starts at like $1200 or something like that in the off season which is killer.

I will defently be looking for tranny man sometime down the road. For now I have a old beater that I'm driving back and fourth to work so that is saving
alot of wear and tear on my gtp. Troy your right even after a turbo build and tranny build most guys keep breaking alot of stuff with there turbo builds. Alot
of guys end up selling all there turbo build stuff for one of two reasons. #1 they can't get it to run right or# 2 They do get it to run right and they
keep breaking things. It can get real expensive.

I think I will just stick to Port work and IC.

Man with the head port jobs that have been going up for sale lately i am surprised more haven't got them. If turbo them stage 4 is big time needed. Not
mandatory but just makes it go so much faster. Big downside is that turbo creates SO much more power with the porting that tranny is almost instantaneous.
