buying first gtp, taking delivery friday help me out please

i'll start off saying hi, my name is matt and im 19 my friends all call me chewy (or ch3wy if your a gangsta, lol)
well to make things smiple i'll start off with im not completely new to gtp's (a friend of mine bought one about 2 years ago and and i have been looking on here to help him out and such) but now that i bought one i figured i might aswell signup

the car i bought is a 1997 gtp 2 door black
nothing special all stock
the only thing that worries me...

Would you buy this car?

I am looking at a project and found this one.

the bad
The car had 3 owners.
good and solid little to no rust
The radiator leaks and is bad.
It looks like the axle pop out the tranny. We think it is ok but aren't sure.

The good
All the recalls that we were notify on have been taken care of.
The interior seats, door panels and console are good. The air bags were
deployed so the dash is messed up.
The Daytona # is 613 of 1500.

Looking at some 18" wheels,,, Need Help.

I am looking at some KMC wheels they match the bolt pattern that we have but i am unsure of the offsets. The two i am interested in are +18 and +45 offsets. Any suggestions if they will work? I have in my notes that it should be around �+40. Any help would be appreciated, also a good set of tires for them, it is mainly a nice summer driver but like to get on it once in a while. THe wheel size i am looking at is 18"x8" Thanks guys.

what is best way to get a hold of will at overkill? Would like to get a custom tune for my 98, slp headers, high flow cat, CAI, 104s, 180 t stat, 3.5 for now maybe 3.35 later if tune holds it.

vibration issue?

Dave and me put my slp headers on my car week ago. After we got them one I have a vibration at 1200 or so then goes away and starts again around 2800 and up. I heard and talked to gixer about flipping the sway bar but have yet to get it done as its been well below 0 for last week here and no heat in garage. Any other suggestions?

Also how hard and what is needed to do fuel filter change as i have to do 2 of them in next few days

Continuing from an earlier post...(noise coming from the engine compartment)... I fixed the noise, it ended up being the seal/bearing in the water pump. So far I replace the water pump and the thermostat. Once I replace the water pump and start my car and let it warm up, I heard the fans kick in, I check the temp and it started climbing past 180* to abut 220 and then I shut it off. Should I now be looking for an obstruction some where in the system?? maybe run hose water through it??? I...

These are thing I got left over from my 2004 GTP

2 front wheel bearing from zzp (brand new)100+shipping
Black poly dog bone mounts (new) and if i can find them50+shipping
set of stock heads100+shipping
Pully puller from PFYC all parts are there but the main bolt is bent but it still works75+shipping
and a set of autolite 104 plugs that will go to the first buyer of anything(if they want them) and if i can find them

intermittent boost

Ok soo i've been having the very common "Half Boost" problem and have been searching post trying to fix it, Ive checked for vac leaks (theres none) I've bypassed the bbv solenoid (no change) ive adjusted the bbv to a lower position (no change) then maybe 2 days after doing all theses things i get full boost. It lasted about a day, the next day back to half boost. Now full boost kicks in maybe half the time, for example on the highway ill hit the gas get full boost pass a...

Sound System Battery (+) Wire

I know this is in the wrong section but this is where it will get seen. So I set up a ghetto lil system in my car, just a 200 watt amp and old 12" sub (for now), but I can't figure out where to run the power wire from the battery. I have it all ran good except the firewall area. I have no idea how to get it past the firewall, am I going to have to drill a hole? Anyone who has a system help please.

Water pump replacement

Does anyone have a write up for replacing the water pump... Today on the way home from work, sitting at a red light; temp gauge starts to climb to low 200's, driving on the highway it levels out around 180-190 ( i have a 180* tstat). When I got home i noticed some coolant dripping under my belt area, so i'm assuming my water pump is shot, and the gasket? My hoses seem to be intact. If anyone has a write up or would like to think its something else please chime in. Thanks
